Description of research and teaching:
I am a specialist in early Christian literature and systematic theology. I find asceticism, both historical and contemporary, especially intriguing. I have published on authors such as Clement of Alexandria and Evagrius of Pontus, for example. I enjoy translating classical texts and discerning their relevance for today's discussions.
