Description of research and teaching:
I am Professor of Environmental Law at University of Eastern Finland Law School and Center for Climate Change, Energy, and Environmental Law. I co-lead a group titled law in water and environmental governance. My research focuses on the role of law in complex sustainability transformation. Substantively, I'm a specialist in water law, marine environmental law, and nature conservation law on international, EU, and national levels alike.
