My expertise is in sociology of education and qualitative methodology, especially in ethnographic approach. My research interests are mainly in social and cultural processes of inclusions and exclusions. I have conducted research in various educational contexts from early childhood education to vocational upper secondary education and special education. I have examined, for example, the constructions of nationality in early childhood education, education towards labor market citizenship in the context of vocational education and training (VET), and processes of inclusion and exclusion related to ethnicity, whiteness, racialization, gender, and disability.
